Buy Genuine Gamet Bearings
Protecting your equipment starts with buying the right bearing from the right source. Learn how to identify fakes and where to buy safely.
What to Look for When Buying
-
New HB / Gamet Packaging Since the 2019 acquisition by HB Bearings, genuine new stock uses the current HB Bearings / Gamet Bearings co-branded packaging. Older Gamet 600 Group packaging is distinctly different — verify the packaging matches the age and source of the bearing.
-
Batch Codes & Year Codes Batch and Year Codes used to be mentioned on older 600 Group bearings. On current Gamet bearings, only Batch Codes unique to the bearing number are mentioned. Any bearing claiming year codes in modern packaging should raise suspicion.
-
Current Logo vs Past Logo vs Fake Logos Gamet has used different logos across its history. The current HB Bearings / Gamet logo, the older standalone Gamet logo, and various fake logos all look superficially similar. Study the official logos carefully — fakes often have incorrect proportions, fonts, or spacing.
-
Fake Marking Style Gamet uses a very specific marking style on the cone and cup. Counterfeit bearings often have markings that are almost identical to originals but have subtle differences — incorrect font weight, differently spaced characters, or missing tolerances. Always cross-reference with official examples.

Gamet has a distinctive marking style. Counterfeit bearings can appear very similar to originals — study these examples carefully to train your eye.
The marking on fake bearings is very similar to the original. Do not rely on visual inspection alone — always verify the source and request an Inspection Certificate.
